This webquest combines two areas of the English cirriculum - English composition and media studies.

Before assigning this webquest it is advisable to present a lessons on media focusing on newspapers (types of news, the layout of newspapers, fact verses opinion)

Another aspect of the project that could be elaborated on is design. What are good and poor techniques seen in designs? What design principles should you keep in mind? The About website provides good tips on design basics.

Have a class discussion about large industries - the pros and cons. Do the students have relatives or friends that worked at the Sydney Steel Plant or similar industries. What stories have they heard?
